‘LILY’ FEATURE FILM

Amy-Joyce Hastings last night participated in a read through of the feature length script for Lily, set for production next year. The script was written by Graham Cantwell and Katie McNiece, based on the multi award winning short film of the same name. Amy-Joyce will be reprising her role as Oonagh in the much expanded feature length film. She won the 2017 Underground Cinema Best Supporting Actress Award for this role in the short film version.

FILMING WRAPPED ON ‘CLOSE TO NOTHING AT ALL’

Amy-Joyce has just wrapped filming Close to Nothing At All on location in Salzburg, Austria. The film is written and directed by Lisa Bröckl, produced by Saskia Eder for FH Salzburg with cinematography by Patrick Kamalzadeh. The hard hitting drama stars Amy-Joyce Hastings as Ava Collins alongside her onscreen family – Alicia Gerrard as Ailis, Andrea Kelly as Niamh, and Bill Murphy as Seán – the Collins family – with German actor Wolf Danny Homann (Michael) rounding out the ensemble cast. It is expected for completion in June 2019.

CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

Amy-Joyce is attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time.

Her recent award winning film QED is screening as part of the Cannes Short Film Corner and she will attend a number of screenings and panels while at the festival.

FRENCH SCENE

Following a recent shortlist screentest in Paris for Eric Barbier’s La Promesse de l’Aube (Pathé), Amy-Joyce has added a new clip in French to her collection of showreels.
